web 2.0

photoshop and i get to be better friends every time i use it.

here's the next round of web layouts, which are better!

in both of these i tried to work with my diagonals as well as my right angles.

this composition builds what i think is a pretty nice parallelogram, and uses both left and right alignment.

for this composition, marty recommended i try to work with a triangle, utilizing the direction that the hand gestures. this triangle (if it succeeded) should appear drawn between the gallium in the hand (aligned with the left alignment of the body copy!), the cropped ear of the g, and the title and monogram up in the corner.

with the idea of the "email blast" rather than the functional website, it was much easier to work on compositions without worrying about using the sort of standard layouts you find online. i understand now that this assignment has much less to do with web content and usability and much more to do with pixels and pixelly type, the most common application of which being on the internets.

which makes much more sense and is a lot more comfortable to work with.
